Student Voice at Helenswood School

Student’s opinions are valued at Helenswood and they are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of life at school. Some of the routes used to develop Student voice are:

Peer Mediation
Ambassadors
School Council
Involvement in Helenswood School radio station
Community fundraising

Students learn about the democratic process through an annual campaign and elections for the new Head Girl and her team.

The key aim is to build a strong sense of Community and responsibility for ones own actions.

Exciting new initiatives we want to develop are peer observers and researchers and having students represented on the Governing Body.

Student Council

After a tough application and interview process Helenswood School is delighted to announce that there will be four Deputy Head Girls joining our Head Girl Georgia Moir on her team. The girls are: Laura Bloe, Charlotte Spice, Emily Greenfields and Lydia Hedger. All four of the girls have been working hard throughout the year so far as the Chairs of the various different committees on the School Council. They are committed to raising the profile of the Students’ Voice here at Helenswood – watch this space for exciting news of their ventures throughout the rest of the year!
