Federal Sixth Form
We are very proud of our Federal Sixth Form, in partnership with Wiliam Parker Sports College, which provides a unique and outstanding learning and social environment for our older students, emphasising the importance which we attach to this stage of further education.
We provide for those wishing to gain entry to University, for those embarking upon a career and for those who have yet to make a firm decision about their future.
We aim to make our students increasingly self-reliant and responsible for their studies within an ethos which is highly supportive and encouraging. Our Sixth Form students gain entry to the best Universities in the Country, including Oxford and Cambridge.

Federal Sixth Open Evening
On a wet and blustery evening a warm welcome was extended by the Federal Sixth Form, at William Parker and Helenswood, to Year 11 students from across the Hastings & Rother area. By 6.30pm the Phoenix Arts Centre had started to fill and an excited buzz was palpable amongst students excited by the types of courses and qualifications they can study for next year.
The headteachers, Mrs Lucy Monk and Mr John Court, opened the evening by reminding prospective students of improved examination success, outstanding results in many subjects and the fact that students from the Federal Sixth had and are going to progress to the top universities in the country. Former student, James Ellis, concluded by saying that such success was due to the strong community support and the commitment of teachers and students to working
together.
Students and parents were immediately able to experience this collaboration and successful working relationship between students and teachers in the Federal Sixth. Student ambassadors acted as guides and encouraged guests to be involved in a range of activities to bring learning alive at A level. Amongst the activities in which visitors were able to participate were balloon and chemical experiments, dissection and an on the spot art installation.
Federal Sixth teachers were pleased to be inundated with questions and enquiries from young people and their parents.
If you were unable to attend and would like to know more please contact either Carole Jackson on 01424 710407 or Cherie Smith on 01424 448207.
